In the hookahbars, bars, clubs and ect. you often sit and think you'd rather listen to another music. My idea is that the bars create a playlist for their customers, and these people who are there can choose what should be heard next and thus determine the playlist themselves. I've seen similar ideas before and have seen that Spotify have closed the case on the internal messaging system due to low engagement. I get why that would be the case - I already chat to my friends/family/colleagues on about 12 different platforms.   I believe that Spotify could really benefit from a Recommend function. This could work in a similar way to Facebook notifications whereby somebody could recommend an aritst/album/playlist/track to one of their Spotify connections like they can with the Share function now. This would then pop up as a notification (possibly even push notifications if opted in) saying "Ronald Dump recommends you check out 'Artist/Album/Playlist/Track Name'" with a link directly to it.    The level of social engagement is low, though if the feature was widely used, this could be followed up with a Like/Dislike feature for the receiver to use to let their friend know whether they liked it or not.    On a similar note, notifications would also be really handy when a track was added to a collabarative/shared playlist by a friend. Something like "Your Friend just added 'track name' by 'artist name' to your 'playlist name' playlist. Check it out!" I suggest a separate option to disable Canvas videos without the need to turn Data Saver on .   The only current way to disable Canvas videos is by turning the Data Saver mode on. Oddly, this option also prevents you from selecting Medium and High audio quality.   I choosec to give my money to Spotify because they are an audio service that provides high quality music. Really too bad none of these cause a notifcation. The major reason many use Spotify is the social aspect.. and Spotify dropped the ball on this one. Although we have facebook and all that to find our friends using Spotify I think it should also be made so that users can find other people which aren't just their friends-even though I know you can search people up I just feel like there should be a small section where they can show some users with similar tastes (like a recomended bar) so that's it's easier and gives you a chance to find good music through other people, especially if you're the type of person who likes following tons of playlists.  ... An idea for turning Spotify into a more commercial interaction app. Music is universally loved and what if it's utilized to generate user profiles based on their playlists generated. The generated profiles are created by a simple boolean selection of songs, either it's Like   or  Dislike. Based on these user generated playlists selected from a specific category: for eg. Daily lift/Discover weekly/etc. An algorithm creates a sorting based on song selections. And when a user has opted for 10-12 songs out of total default songs in playlist, an option can be provided that shows: Users with similar playlists. Basically,   1. Hello Spotify, My friends and I have a really good idea that we think could revolutionize how people use and enjoy Spotify. Everyone likes to share their new favorite song with a friend. Why not add a service that allows friends to listen to the same songs or playlists at the same time online? The Music Sync feature would be just that. Someone could use this sharing service by inviting a fellow spotify premium member into a party or session that has music playing. All the music would be controlled by either the group leader (DJ) or it could be opened up to any member in the group. The session would play either individual songs, or playlists, and each person in the group would be listening to the same songs at the exact same time. There would also be a chat function in which people could communicate with one another about the songs. The users present within one of these syncing sessions would also be able to drag and drop song requests into a song request box. The leader (DJ) would then be able to choose to add the requested songs into the song cue. The requests that are presented to the (DJ) can be voted on by the members of the party with a thumbs up or down. If a song is requested by more than one person, rather than listing that song again, it will be given an additional thumbs up for each request. In a large party the chat may get chaotic and the song request approvals may move too slowly, in order to remedy this there could also be a moderator feature. The leader (DJ) could select members of the party to be upgraded to being moderators, these individuals would now have the power to kick out rowdy chat members, and approve as well as add new song requests to the que.   This music sharing and syncing feature would not only allow people to share music with friends, but it could also be a fun way of finding an artist or musicians that you had never heard of before. I have friends that live far away from me and I like to share new music with them all the time. Rather than trying to sync an online music video at the same time to listen to a song together, this feature would be a fun and easy way to do so.  It could not only be a fun way to listen to music with friends, but could also be a way for people to DJ parties or gatherings easily. In fact, celebrity DJs may even want to host public shows through this new Spotify feature. This would be extremely convenient for people that can’t travel to live shows, and a great way for DJs to interact with their fans on a whole new level. I have an idea where the Spotify app for phones can have a "Jukebox" mode where you type in a 4-6 digit pin number to connect to someone who has Spotify running on a computer, so when you're throwing a party or a dance you can add songs to the queue. I suppose something similar can be done with a collaborative playlist, but with a separate mode you can choose to only give your pin to people at the party so people not there can't edit your que, add some sort of democracy system where people can upvote the songs they want to hear most, or have something where the person running the Spotify service can create a playlist that people can vote on which songs they'd like to hear but only out of that playlist (this way you don't have someone playing Rage Against the Machine at a kid's birthday party).   As a group of Friends we really like to listen to music while we are at class and we always want to share a song, listen to it at the same time and be able to enjoy it together. That is the reason we wanted to contact you, to make our dream a reality.  Here are some specifications to our idea:  We would like it to be similar to "air-drop". Users can create groups where they choose the people that participate in it (with the option to decline or accept this request), and share songs with the possibility of listening to it at the exact same time (live). It would be amazing if every member of the group could add to the queue songs, not only the one who created it.
