Please make the "connect" feature available on Windows Phone!

It would be nice if all spotify premium users on the local network could use spotify connect to stream to a client (i.e pc connected to the speakers) Now you can stream to the client only if you are logged in with the same account on the other devices. This is not that practical since there are usually more than one spotify user/account in the same household. Especially with the new spotify family being released.

Add possibility on iOS to control music without unlocking the device and opening the Spotify app when using Spotify Connect as audio output. This is currently possible only when the iOS device itself is outputting audio. This should be possible easily with iOS as Sonos is doing something similar with their app. Android already has this w/ Spotify. Hugely important feature as it's a pain to always having to unlock device & open the app to change volume or skip track.

Currently there is no way of using the EQ with Spotify Connect. I use Spotify Connect together with the Gramofon unit ( https://gramofon.com/). But my speakers really needs an EQ. Preferably I would like the EQ to be fixed, that is set for my Gramofon only. So when I use spotify in my car or with headphones the EQ is of, or a specific EQ is set for that unit (my iPhone) in my Spotify app. When I use Spotify Connect I would like to be able to set an EQ for that unit, so when someone else connects to my device using Spotify Connect, they will also get the same EQ that I have set correctly for my speakers.

The device names displayed in Spotify Connect's list of available playback devices becomes a problem in some cases. For some devices, Spotify Connect displays the the name assigned to the device by the owner. For others, Spotify Connect instead displays the device's model number. For instance, my Spotify Connect enabled Pioneer receiver is displayed as "Livingroom" (name assigned by me) whereas my Samsung Galaxy S4 is displayed as "GT-19505" although it actually has a user-assigned name too. In all networking contexts that I know of, except Spotify Connect, the user-assigned name is displayed. Why not in Spotify Connect too? Besdes being confusing in general, this issue actually becomes a real problem when your Spotify Connect network contains several playback devices of the same model, e.g. if you make a set of outdated smartphones of the same model become stationary playback devices in your home. I don't know if this is a common issue with all mobil devices, just an Androd issue or simply a Samsung Galaxy issue. Please add kudos and/or comments if you experience the same isse or have more knowledge to share.

Hi there, some Spotify desktop apps like Soundrop have their own Android app in the meantime. It would be nice to offer the Spotify Connect functionality to these 3rd party party apps which actually use and need Spotify for streaming. Then these 3rd party apps could implement the Connect button in their control panel. Florian

I have a Grace Digital Reciva Radio and would love to have a seamless way to integrate the services of my favorite home radio with the services of my favorite music provider. The consideration of the Spotify community and administration would be greatly appreciated.

Spotify Connect is cool, but I don't want to have to use a laptop or desktop hooked up to a speaker to make it work. Why not make it so I can control another iOS or Android device, and use my iPhone or Android phone as the remote?

If you use a USB async DAC, a Raspberry or similar device will sonically outperform PCs or Macs by a landslide, because of the different audio processing. The downside of using such a device with spotify is the clunky web interface, which can only connect to the Spotify Service via Core/Web API. Regardless, the sound quality is so much better, that i can never go back to the desktop clients. If you´d open up the awesome spotify connect feature, you could offer an amazing experience for people who prefer open hardware solutions. Apart from politics/deals with manufacturers i can´t see any reason why this wouldn´t be possible. Thanks for considering

I have an HTPC connected to my home stereo that runs Spotify desktop so I can use Connect to control music on it from my mobile/tablet/laptop. However, as I'm logged in with my Spotify account on the HTPC, I am the only family member who can use it. Spotify Connect enabled amps and speakers allow anyone running Spotify to connect to it. I would love to be able to put the desktop app on my HTPC in a mode that allows this as well.

The ability to use the desktop app interface to play songs (via Spotify Connect) on a remote device, i.e. wireless speakers. Cannot believe this is absent right now, as it seems pretty integral to the whole idea of Spotify Connect (who actually uses their mobile as their primary listening device while in the house?!) A secondary suggestion would be to add that functionality to the web app also. Note this is not a duplicate of the feature request at https://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-Ideas/Spotify-Connect-For-Desktop-App/idi-p/689688 titled "Spotify Connect For Desktop App", which referred to controlling the desktop app via a remote device i.e. the opposite way round, and has now been marked as implemented.

So I got this shiny new idea from sing Spotify on my LG Smart TV. Seeing that the Spotify app for LG Smart TVs are readily available, how about an implementation of the Spotify Connect feature to the smart TV platforms as well? This way, it will make it even simpler to control Spotify playing music on a TV using a phone, tablet or a desktop/laptop. Of course, I'm sure some things could discourage or demotivate the development of this feature, such as the amount of people who actually found out and use this feature on their TVs, but I think this feature would help anyone who uses the app on their TV anyway. And, of course, I would want other brands of smart TVs to see this feature as well, so I wouldn't be suggesting this only for the LG Smart TVs out there. Hopefully, I/we can see this feature soon!
