I am incredibly fed up with these problems! I don't have a notification bell AND I NEVER get notification emails!!!! If this is all a part of some A/B Testing, I DON'T WANT TO BE A PART OF IT!!!! I don't receive any notifications about followers, new music, or anything! It's incredibly annoying trying to figure out who is following your playlist. I hate it so much, and it is plain ridiculous to take away the notification bell. Do I really have to log in to my web player every time I want to check my notifications?!?! That's stupid. First of all, if you're going to take a feature away, shouldn't you take it away from all means of getting onto spotify? Second, if I am signed up for notification (WHICH I AM), THEN I SHOULD GET NOTIFICATIONS. Do A/B testing on people who hate notifications, not me! I honestly cannot remember the last time a received a notification, and I can assure you that I have the correct settings turned on. Please, fix this problem!!! It is so incredibly annoying, especially as a PREMIUM member. I don't see what the point is of this test if you can choose to get notifications or not (again, STUPID). In addition, I should also be able to see who follows my playlists at any given time, and of course, I should receive the notifications too. Spotify is a social app. The ability to see your followers is a part of the social factor! Furthermore, for those who still receive notifications about new playlist followers, it just doesn't make sense to block seeing your playlist followers on the desktop/phone apps and web player when you get emails about the new followers. It's counterintuitive and distasteful. FIX THE PROBLEM OR AT THE LEAST, TAKE ME OFF OF THE A/B TESTING LIST!!!!!

beskrivning på svenska längst ner You open the function that requires location feature and see where you are on a map. On the streets around you and you will see that it randomly located songs released as pins. The songs come partly from your own playlists, starred songs, friends' most listened songs + new music from your favorite genres. You start the function. Now when you walk past a song and put it into a list for the next playing songs. Do not like the song so you can easily switch the controller on the headphone cable or directly in the cell phone will play the next song up. The app also records the number of steps / speed / walking route. Depending on your walking pace so placed songs on the map at regular intervals. You can also easily select if you want a song will never be randomly selected for you, a song you do not like. Although it sounds silly, so I think it can be good pure PR strategically. It will be a hot topic in friends and in social media, traditional media also teaches them latch on to. Can be tickled feature for some brains, even though it may be perceived as a nonsense-function I think Description in swedish: Du öppnar funktionen som kräver platsfunktionen och ser vart du befinner dig på en karta.

Used to be a thing. Is no longer a thing. I would collaborate with a friend of mine on my playlists with the notification system. I know we both enjoyed and utilized the notification system heavily.

Hi. Personally I am a solitary man. Sometimes so megalomaniac that feel I am God thinking of the Universe, others just only a depressed guy.
In the outdated AM/FM Radio era in the 90’s I was an elven years old child and listening a radio station felt like my brainwaves get entangled with the rest of the audience. So I didn’t like commercial stations, cause felt drowned by the crowd.
I want to feel unique in the world, I like to listen music that is "abandoned" or forgotten. Guess there are many people that have same feeling. Call it Fake nostalgia. I like to think that I am the only person listening a piece of music that none else is listening.
The theory says that people don´t like loneliness, unless you sell them the idea of uniqueness, which makes them feel special (Remember me? I AM GOD!!! HAHAHA)
In the other side there is the crowd that want to feel being in an eternal party, listening the same music that million others at same time, in different parts of the world.
So, based in last affirmations, I would like to suggest two kind of playlists whith opposite targets and promote them in a special way that may generate tons of new fans to Spotify.
First, my favorite personal wish: MY OWN DESERT PLACE
This is just an automatic Playlist, based in my favorite genres, that takes me to relatively popular music that in real time is being listened by none or only a few people, the amount will be adjusted by the user. This option would have use an optional use of an anonymous chat with this other listeners. Second, may be the most popular for users and complexly enough to be loved by Spotify Telemarketing crew: JOIN MY PARTY Given the failure of podcast inclusion in the platform suggest next idea:
Taking support from the social network engine of Spotify, with some modifications to make a Twitter and Facebook like interaction, premium users may create playlists and invite to their friends (even non Spotify Users) to assemble a Party playlist, which is ideal for joining to remote or virtual parties.
Spotify can create temporary guest tokens from Facebook or sell them for join to a party if you are not a Spotify User.
Previous to this should be an app developed for Facebook to propose and vote items in the playlist.
The voting system will be based giving the punctuation equivalent to the percentage of the position of each song in the playlist (a hundred songs playlist first has 100% and last has 1%)
Suggest this playlist will have only 5 options to be played by: 1- Standard (Artist, Album, Random) 2- Genre 3- Voted (by de guests) a. More to less votes b. Less to More votes 4- Popularity in Spotify a. More to less votes b. Less to More votes 5- Live voting
Other function in this modality may be that owner of playlist can delegate a Host, administrator, animator, narrator or DJ who will may even act as an old fashion broadcaster, with sub functions like present battles of songs and invite to vote in a Facebook app of Spotify or in a Spotify built in control.
Also this DJ will have the option for interview someone or delegate his function to another guest of the party.
To prevent this be used as a profitable kind of podcast there would be 3 rules:
1- Users only will have the option to “open the microphone” after of a song ending without background music and only by certain amount of minutes or seconds, being possible buy “on air time”.
2- If the user wants more free talking time will have to accept Spotify listened publicity in the middle of the playlist.
3- The amount of users per playlist may be restricted at certain number, probably 50, and to add more would be required a paid extra amount of guests.e

Sometimes, I want to connect with people on Spotify that are not on Facebook (eg, my kids) but I cannot find them as users (on app, at least). All I can find, are my own Facebook friends who are connected to Spotify with FB credentials). My daughter would like to use her own Spotify account but all her hard music collection labor has been done with *my* account. Now, if we could connect, then I could just share her lists from my account with her account and she can listen regardless of where the list originated. Also, sometimes you just want to listen to someone's music without becoming Facebook friends.

Hi! I love Spotify. I love to express myself with music. I wanna people meet me based on my Spotify playlists etc. So , here is the idea: When we follow some person, i think it would be good to see our following artists in common. So we can have an idea about him /her. And maybe that would be a great start for a conversation 🙂 Like a facebook common friends ,yeah. And the other idea is, i want to personalize my own playlists. I mean, i wanna pick a picture like Spotify playlists, and write something about that. Why can't i do?

Hi, you guys really need to improve the social media aspect of your service. Mainly the following: 1. We shouldn't have to link accounts to Facebook in order to have a profile picture. We should be able to change our pic like with any other service. I'm sure you guys are aware that Facebook is over and people aren't using it as much anymore. 2. We should be able to change our username. There's currently no option to change what we were assigned upon signing up. Spotify should be like IG or Twitter where we can use our real name or pseudonym and have a unique username as our login. 3. The activity tab needs more to it. To encourage more following and interaction. 4. We should have the option of showing our music libraries as well as playlists. 5. You need a "delete account" button. Stop being creepy. It would also be nice to have the option to include a bio, music interests etc. But let's just start with the above. Also you need to dramatically improve your customer service and ways to get in touch with Spotify.

Hey! I got this friend that follows my playlist and we skype alot, I think the new feature that includes seeing what they are listening to is really cool. I was thinking maybe you could make a extra feature that you could listen to the same song at the same time and the one you selected to listen along with can decice when to pause/forward etc. Kind regards, Tim
