So Spotify for whatever reason decided to make the app as inconvenient as possible. The previous set up before this new update was so easy to navigate, find the artist, songs, radio stations, and podcasts whenever I hit the library icon. Now I have to search for and add all these artists basically all over again and frankly I'm pretty mad about it to the point where I want to cancel my subscription. Whats even more frustrating is trying to contact Spotify themselves so I can complain in hopes of actually getting something done about this is like a game and seemingly impossible to get a direct hold of. I thought it would be nice to have a setlist.fm integration in Spotify. For example: you can see the upcoming concert of every artist, no matter where you live. So the tour dates from an artist are always available, even if they're not taking place in your country . Then you can select a recent / upcoming concert which will take you to a playlist with the setlist of that concert (from setlist.fm). Creating a new playlist is such a tiresome effort. The search for my favourite music takes so much longer than it's worth. Spotify have made it easier for you to select songs to put onto a playlist, but the journey there is just one I don't wish to spend hours on.    So why not create a 'playlist game'; where Spotify suggests genre categories and you either swipe or tick if you like those genres or swipe or cross if you don't. Following this platform, Spotify would then suggest songs related to your 'ticked' genres and ignore those related to the 'crossed' genres and once again, you would tick or cross these songs and if ticked they would be added to your playlist and if crossed they would be ignored and noted that you don't like that song. For example, on the first platform, if 'blues' was suggested, I would probably cross this and no blues songs would be suggested on the second platform. However, if 'R&B' or 'Pop' was suggested, I would probably tick these and songs such as 'One Dance - Drake' or 'Can't Stop The Feeling - Justin Timberlake' could be suggested on the second platform and I would have the option to tick these to add them to my playlist.    Although this does sound like a complicated and long concept, I can assure you it's not. It would be a more time efficient and fun/exciting way to add songs to your playlists. The first platform of ticking and crossing genres would only need to be performed once and Spotify would remember your preferences. Following that, it is a simple tick or cross game to select your chosen songs.    Obviously, there would need to be an options menu, where you could correct mistakes such as ticking or crossing something by accident or if your taste in music genres changes you could select another genre or etc.   Thank you for your attention.   ... As we all know playlisting is the foundation of the Spotify brand and without doubt one of the major reasons for the company's success. This in turn has given birth to a vast army of playlist makers who spend a lot of time pubishing their creations and sharing them with the Spotify community.   At this juncture there are limited ways to get your playlists heard by a wider audience but hopefully that will change with this idea.   I would like to see the option for the user to be able to start and Ad campaign where they would choose a budget to target users on the free/premium service with similar tastes to the playlist being promoted. This could be in the form of the playlist appearing in their browse page or a soundbite when they are listening to music on the free service. Cost would be based on the number of users that would be targeted with a fixed price depending on numbers. For example:  100 users = $1 1000 users =$10   Advertising credits could also be made available as a rock star prize.   Spotify encourages users to create playlists but do nothing in terms of helping them promote them. Hi guys! I RELLY love Spotify, it's one of my favorites apps! But I think you should improve the quality of the playlists desing and organization! How? Well, it's easy: 1- Allow the users choose an image from the camera roll to put on the cover of the playlists. 2- Create a way to organize the playlists in subfolders. Please please please make a feature where spotify users are able to view the followers of their playlists! It honestly just bothers me trying to figure out who followed what playlist, especially since there isn't even a notifications tab on spotify letting you know who has followed your playlists. It would be very nice if Spotify would include a feature in their running section that played music that is already on a playlist that you created or selected and finds songs on that playlist that matches your tempo. Instead of just having a "recommended for you" option that matches your tempo, a "saved music" or "playlist of your choice" would also be a nice option. I know this isn't the best of ideas because not all the songs on Spotify have been evaluated to see what their tempos are, but even if you could still do that and the songs that don't have a pre-evaluated tempo wouldn't play it would still be very nice and personalized. ... Hi y'alll,   I think you are missing a huge group by not having a playlist that consist uptempo lyric free song. That group of people is the ones with ADHD like myself.  Calming and acoustic songs have no help for people like me. Since our minds are scattered beyond help and its already really difficult to concentrate, calming songs just make it worse and slow us down. ı tried all your focus playlists, believe me. I recently discovered a website called focusatwill which had certain options for people with ADHD but come on, it's not Spotify.    Please please please, create a ADHD focus playlist. I'd really really appreciate it and you know, in this century half of the population has ADHD. Soooo, it will have a huge impact. I suggest a possible improvement, which, I think, could be very beneficial for all the users of your application. Personally, this is something I have long been looking for and is indispensible for a music streaming and podcast program. I suggest that you arrange an archive for each user, which is made out of a monthly analysis and shows which songs the users personally have listened most. A feature I really like on the mobile iOS is that you can "Add To New Playlist" directly into an already exisitng playlist folder by clicking on the playlist folder and then hitting the "+" sign in the top right corner. This isn't a feature that is included on the desktop version, to my knowledge.    On the desktop version you have to create a new playlist (which automatically appears at the top of the playlist list) and then manually drag into a playlist folder. Being neurotic, I like to keep a specific order with my playlists and having the option to add a new playlist into a playlist folder from the desktop would be one less step in keeping my playlists organized.    Hope that makes sense!  ... I like discovering new music and I often do so by listening to random Playlists. Sometimes those Playlist are dozens of hours long. I want to go through all the songs only once in order to mark my favourites. Unfortunately, I often do not have the time to go through them all before I want to change music style or stop listening music.   It would be fun if I had a way to mark which song of a particular playlist I was listening to last, so I can start listening where I was. Sometimes i found a playlist with say 400 songs, the playlist rocks, i love it... but i hate 5 songs. It would be great to have the ability to flag that 5 songs to skip (prevent) them from reproduction, but leaving the playlist without changes. I don't know how many people would actually want this, but in order to have anime music, J-Pop, or K-Pop on my Spotify playlist, I currently have to go through a LOT of effort to download it elsewhere so I can add it as a local file to Spotify and sync it to my account. Quite simply, can we have party playlists on the desktop? The "Party" category exists on the desktop but just contains a load of general playlists, there is none of the crossfading or mood slider that the iOS/Android apps have - I absolutely love this.   Would also love the party playlists to be updated more frequently! ...
