A week or so ago I listened to an album by The Flashbulb and one by matryoshka. I wasn't in love with either, but they were suggested so I gave them a shot. Now, my Discovery page is CRAMMED with suggestions from these two. I've listened to dozens of completely different albums since them, but they just don't make a dent. I keep getting these suggestions and there's no way to say "I don't want this here" or "I don't like this band".
Spotify seems to interpret "listening to something" as "really likes it and wants to hear more". The point of Spotify is discovery, and I don't know if I like something until I hear it, so why would Spotify decide that by virtue of hearing it, I like it? I use Spotify hugely for the exploration aspect of it, and now it's just spitting a bunch of stuff I know I don't want to hear, meanwhile all the albums I've liked lately, and artists I've started following, don't stem the tide of Flashbulb/matryoshka suggestions.
I used to love hitting the Discovery tab and seeing what else is out there, now I avoid it.
