Star Jam 2025 - Favorite Star Moments

2025 has been quite the eventful year for Spotify and as we near its conclusion, we look back on all the amazing moments we had together! It's been a grand adventure to remember for sure!

The Star Program has always been the beating heart of the Community. So in this blog, allows us to give the stage to our lovely Stars so they can all share their favourite moments from 2025!

Unsurprisingly, a lot of the best times happened during the annual Star Jam,. the special in-person event for our top 10 Stars to come visit the Spotify head office!

To kick us off, here's @ribezaz with her amazing experiences:

"So, for sure my favourite moment on the Star Program this year was the face-to-face Jam in Stockholm! It was magical to know how it works and personally see my fellow stars, moderators and have lived this spectacular experience! 

I was so happy to meet everyone in person, it was amazing And I'm even happier that we got along so well. I confess I was anxious and a little shy because it was my first time at a jam haha

My favorite moment, without a doubt, was the last day of the Jam! We had so much fun in the snow – which I had never seen before, so it was even more special!

As I said, I loved meeting everyone, but I believe the colleague who most impacted my week was, mutually, @Billy-J , which led to many conversations about technology and Spanish"

Naturally, we segue from that into @Billy-J who is glad to reciprocate:

"Once again, I am very happy to have attended Star Jam 2025 in person. This year was such a great experience as we got to talk with different teams, exploring parts of the office and feeling the excitement amongst other Stars! 

A fond memory of this year’s Jam was our meeting with Martin Lorentzon. It was good to see how AI is being used within Spotify, as well as where we are now and where we’re headed. It was such a nice, casual, and informative conversation that truly inspired me. 

Everyone I met and saw at this year’s Jam are truly special to me. In particular, a Star that made an impact on my week is @ribezaz. It was wonderful meeting Leticia for the first time in person. She had such wonderful energy, and even taught me a little bit of Spanish. I also remember on the last day of the Jam where we all had some fun in the snow!" 

And so we move on to @Ximzend so he can share all the amazing things learned this year:

"My highlight from the Jam was the Wednesday sessions in the smaller room. The setting made everything feel more intimate and engaging.

I connected with several Stars during the week, but I'd like to give a special shout‑out to @osornios for the great company at the airport when we waited on our plain to Amsterdam. He even waited outside the plane at the destination so we could walk further together."

It's not just the Jam though, of course. For something different, let's hear from one of the newest stars added to our constellation, @RayyW0: 

"First would be, that I got accepted to the Stars Program in the end of February 2025. It was so overwhelming, with all the heartwarming welcome by the community. What a lovely bunch of people! 

Secondly, would be my first participation with the Community Music Team for Artist Wanted: No. 17. What a teamwork and dedication from the community!"

On another note, Star program veteran @MattSuda is one always involved with new features, so this is what he wanted to share:

"My favorite moment of the year was in September when Lossless audio quality launched  -- the Stars listening to Lossless for the first time and reacting to it was awesome"

For something more humorous, here's what @Maxim wanted to tell us about:

"My favorite moment, if you can call it one, was when @MauriceMV ' Stockholm package showed up at my place before mine even arrived. @Melody and I thought they were just swapped, so when mine came a few days later, I turned it into a little mission and shipped his off to him. Not exactly epic, but it turned into a funny mix up."

And to wrap it up, here's some stories from the Mod team and CMs! We start with Ross @ThePodfather and his fantastic stories from the Jam and all throughout the year: 

"My highlight was seeing just how passionate everyone is about Spotify and the Community. There’s something really special about being surrounded by people who genuinely care, not just about the platform, but about each other. The energy, the conversations, the laughter… it all reminded me why I love working here and being a member of this Community. it honestly left me buzzing! Noooooooo Scotland No paaaaaaaaaaaarty!"

Here's @Melody to share some gratitude and warmth to everyone who made this entire year so special:

"I would like to share my shout-outs and HUGE thanks to everyone who lived the values through the virtual and in-person Jam!
And to those I got to meet in-person for the first time! @AlejaR @Ximzend @Anyk17  @ribezaz

And there you have it, just some of the most amazing moments we all shared throughout 2025! While we're all here to help solve people's issues and make sure our users have the best experience, there's a reason we call ourselves the Community. We're all a team and these memories we all built will last us a lifetime. Looking back, it was a truly exceptional year, almost hard to believe all of these wonderful things happened in such a short span of time.
