This week we’re kicking off our first-ever Virtual Star Jam! The Jam is an event where Community Stars from all over the world come together and do awesome stuff with the folks over at Spotify!
Spotifiers and Community Stars from over 14+ different countries come together and share their love for Spotify. From Brazil to Scotland to the United States, we’ve got quite a lot of ground covered. In this blog, we’ll take a trip around the world visiting a few Community Stars and Staff to see where they’re from and to get to know them a bit better! ✈️
We hope you’re sitting comfortably and are enjoying good music whilst joining us on our trip. Here’s a playlist that might help.

Spain
We kick off our trip in sunny Seville, Spain! 🇪🇸 Community and Twitter Star Jose who has been with the Star Program for about three years now is taking us to the beach. Be sure to pack your swimsuit and a good pair of sunglasses!
We take a long walk along the coast and, wow, do we love it! He took a lovely photo of the sunset for us and we feel all relaxed and ready for the next day of our trip around the world.
Bulgaria
Whilst we’re still in Europe, we head on to Sofia, Bulgaria 🇧🇬 with Emil from Spotify who was born and raised there! After his studies he lived in Germany for a couple of years but moved back to Sofia. He’s been with Spotify for about 7 years now. While he’s not helping on the Spotify Community, he loves to hike and travel!
He took us to this lovely lake: Pancharevo dam next to Sofia known to host a lot of world championships, but also perfect to hike and/or relax. Not to forget, Emil’s a big music fan and loves going to concerts and festivals.
Canada
Going for a long swim across the ocean, we meet Noah in Charlottetown, Prince 
Charlottetown is a lovely place to explore with lots 
online. The classic PEI Cliffside beach is super close-by and we couldn't help ourselves to take a little break there.
USA
Crossing the border we arrive at the United States of America. 🇺🇸 We’ve got two Stars showing us around the US for this trip.
First up: Texas! one of the first-ever Community Stars, Matt! Matt’s been with the Spotify Community for nine years now and loves movies, TV-shows and, of course, music! Matt’s from Houston which is a super diverse city with loads of cool people and great food experiences. We definitely stopped for a nice classic Texas dinner before we headed on.
We then took a long car ride to Salisbury in Maryland. 🇺🇸 Billy, who has been a 
Brazil
Heading on south to Brazil, we meet up with Rodrigo from Belo Horizonte. 🇧🇷 Rodrigo loves coffee and invited us in for a freshly brewed batch that he roasted himself! After a lovely coffee tasting, we’re heading out to Transoco. Crossing the country we couldn’t help ourselves to take a couple of walks along the way in the beautiful forests of Brazil. Arriving in Transoco, we found the most perfect place to relax.
Moving on, we met up with Mateus in a city near Sao Paulo. 🇧🇷 He's one of our newest Community Stars! He takes us to Gramado and it feels like we found a whole new world. A beautiful place known for film festivals. Mateus tells us he loves to play soccer, video games and also works out a lot! And not to forget, he loves listening to music!
Greece
After our lovely time across the ocean, we’re all ready to head back to Europe for
Kate started out at the Community as a Community Star back in 2015 and a couple of years later she joined the Spotify Community Team! She’s an avid reader and loves writing her journal. We’d love to read one of her stories one day!
