Your 2017 Wrapped

meahtenoha

The year is wrapping up. Which means, you guessed it, it’s time for our annual Year in Music aka Wrapped Campaign.

Starting today you can find your personal Year in Music at 2017wrapped.com/ . You can also access personal playlists at https://open.spotify.com/view/2017-page.

Emails promoting the campaign will be heading out soon, but don’t worry if you didn’t receive one–you can still access your personal stats at 2017wrapped.com/ and playlists at https://open.spotify.com/view/2017-page

Of course we understand you might have a few questions about this year’s Wrapped Campaign, so we’ve outlined a comprehensive FAQ for you below:

FAQs about Wrapped

Q: Will the playlists disappear at some point, even if I follow them?

A: The playlists won’t disappear, we support them like any other playlist.

Q: What’s the link for the browse hub?

A: https://open.spotify.com/view/2017-page or spotify:special:2017

Q: What criteria do you need to meet to get your personal data on the Wrapped website?

A: You listened to 5 different artists, 30 different tracks, and 60 minutes of music from Jan 1 - Nov 1.

Q: What criteria do you need to meet to receive the personalized playlist “The Ones That Got Away” in Browse?

A:  You listened to 5 different artists, 30 different tracks, and 60 minutes of music from Jan 1 - Nov 1.

Q: What criteria do you need to meet to receive the personalized playlist “Your Top Songs 2017” in Browse?

A:  You listened to 5 different artists, 30 different tracks, and 60 minutes of music from Jan 1 - Nov 1.

Q: Is my ‘Your Top Songs Of 2017’ playlist in order of what I listened to most?

A: It is for the most part, but it may be slightly mixed to help it flow better.

Q: My 2017 Wrapped year recap or Top Songs of 2017 playlist is wrong, I’m sure I didn’t listen to that music. Can you change them?

A: This can happen for a number of reasons:
- You share an account with someone else.

- You often leave Spotify playing in the background--it can be easy to miss what’s playing
- You’ve left your account available at a party/gathering, where people can add tracks to play

This is a great feature but sadly I am convinced my list is wrong. I see in the FAQ's reasons why it might be wrong, i.e.

- You share an account with someone else. (Nope!)

- You often leave Spotify playing in the background--it can be easy to miss what’s playing (Possibly but not with the same track on repeat!)
- You’ve left your account available at a party/gathering, where people can add tracks to play (Nope!)

None apply to me I am sure. There are tracks in my list I have listened to maybe once and yet so many other tracks I have listened to much more often that don't appear.

A great idea not properly implemented.

I'm having an issue with my top artists. The first four are very correct, and the last one is Celine Dion. I listened to her maybe..once? in the last year, and don't generally leave my spotify just playing stuff, unless it's a specific radio. But even then, I've never listened to her radio station. I've added five of her numerous songs to my saved music, but that's it. I've re-run the wrapped thing a few times and got the same results. I know for a fact I've listened to several other artists way, way more.

When I saw Raffi among the possible candidates for my #1 artist of 2017, I thought it must be a joke ...perhaps thrown into the mix by a Spotify designer who, as a tired new parent, has recently been overexposed to Raffi? But no, Spotify seems to earnestly believe in my love for Raffi. Hilarious! All the other answers are plausible. My list of most-played songs includes all my favorite artists, yet not a single Raffi tune. Perhaps I have a friend at Spotify who is pranking me?  Show yourself, fiend!

So if I keep listening to music for the rest of 2017 will these playlists keep updating until the end of the year? Or will they stay as they are now?
