Album and song sales

How does album and song sales on spotify work? 

In my playlist l have some songs from an album but not all of them, l listen to them sometimes, how can l increase album sales by 1 or more? And song sales?

Since Spotify is a music streaming service, every song streamed for over 30 seconds counts as a play - which is then converted into a royalty payment.

1. Can you explain more detailed please, u didnt mention how album sales work or if you could sell more than 1 song or album by the same spotify account...... 

2. Also, will these count in best selling album or song in the year? Bethany_03

Since a couple of years ago, the RIAA changed the way how albums sales are counted by also counting streams.

I think around 150 streams of a song counts as one sale of the song and if 1500 people playing one album ,it counts as 1 sale of the album.

I hope it makes a little sense.
