[Desktop] Play only the one album I clicked on

[Desktop] Play only the one album I clicked on

When I go to Artist page → Albums and click on some album's play button, it will play that one album + adds songs to the queue from other albums. This does not always happen, but it happens fairly often. I don't get the logic behind this. The same issue is not present on Android app.

Hey @Kaarta,

Thanks for your post. I've been experimenting a bit to see if I could recreate the behavior you described, and it looks like this is what happens if you're in list view and start playing an album from there. In my own tests, if I started one album, the other albums by the artist would eventually show up in the queue. To prevent this from happening, instead of starting an album from that list view, if you'll click on the title of the album first so that it opens that album's page, and then play the album from there, this should prevent the other albums from loading. That said, if you have repeat turned off and autoplay is on in your settings, Spotify will play similar tracks based on the album when it's complete. If you don't want that to happen, you can just turn repeat on or disable autoplay from your settings.

Alternatively, on an artist's album list, you can switch the view to only display the cover art (the icon towards the top right as in the screenshot below), and when you click on the cover you'll go to the album's page as if you'd clicked on the title in list view.

I hope this helps, but let me know if you still have any trouble with it!

Yes, that I already knew. That's the way I'm using the Albums page right now. It works fine, but the problem is, when you now click back button you will be sent back to the top of the Albums page. It's a real pain in the back if there are tons of albums to view (I know there's another topic for that issue aswell).

Also, I don't use autoplay feature.

Thanks for the advice dinomight.
