Equivalent to "Rock Hits" on Slacker?

I just moved over from Slacker.  Their library is too small for my taste, but they do have a station that I really liked and listened to daily.  "Rock Hits" has mostly new stuff and some older rock/hard rock tunes.

Is there something equivalent on Spotify?  I'm a little overwhelmed with the choices and some playlists don't seem to get updated at all.  Something updated often is best.

All this time I was looking in the Radio section of the app.  Still unsure of the differences between a playlist and a radio.

The radio of a playlist is a selection of songs based on the original playlist. When you listen to a radio, you can like or dislike each song to make it closer to what you're looking for.

Thanks.  I guess I was hoping to find something with "intent" that has emphasis on new songs, but do play catalogue songs on occasions.  Something curated either by algorhytm (i.e. Google) or a human (i.e. Slacker).  I guess a "by Spotify" playlist is the closest to this.

It just seems to be an ocean of playlists out there and I'm trying to find those gems.

You should check the Release Radar - it's based on what your listening history, with songs culled from new albums. There's also the Discover Weekly, which kick things off each Monday, and Radar will take you into the weekend with a Friday release. It might take some time until it gets your musical taste, but it's a great feature!
