Grayed out songs on playlists

My Question or Issue

Everything was working fine, except yesterday i wanted to listen along to my friend, i couldn’t join (clicked link redirected me to spotify app but nothing was playing) same for jam, it said that i was participating in it but didn’t listen to songs my friend was playing. So i decided to reinstall the app, now every song on playlist is grayed out and i can’t even play the playlist. On mobile everything working fine.

Let’s try a few steps so we can solve this or narrow down the root cause of what’s causing your issue.
Can you try a reinstall of the app following these steps. These steps are more thorough than the simple reinstall and can solve common issues. Also, it’s important to ensure you’re not using a VPN on the Desktop app as that may interfere with the usage of the app. 

If you’re still having trouble, can you let me know if this happens with a different network connection, or another Spotify account, if possible?

Hi, so the reinstall didn't work and I can't test other networks since my motherboard doesn't have WiFi chip. Other account has the same issue.

In this case, we'd suggest disabling any firewall or security software that might be blocking Spotify on your network. 

You can also check if a proxy is configured in the system or Spotify app and if so, try disabling it as well to see if it makes any difference.
