How do they generate "popular track" playlist for Artist?

According to the Artist's QA it says:

Popular tracks automatically generate based on the number of all-time and recent streams. They update every 24 hours. You can’t manually change your popular tracks.

But how exactly? How can it be both all-time and recent streams? It should be a rate, or a formula to get this.

This is working in a strange way for non-popular artists.

I've found many times that in the "popular tracks" playlist they are not including songs that had all-time more views that some of the songs in the "popular tracks" playlist.

So, how exactly is the formula for a song to be included or not in the "popular tracks" default artist playlist?

The most listened to tracks are automatically selected, based on the number of recent and historical streams.
This is updated every 24 hours. It is not possible to manually change the most listened to tracks. Hope I helped, big hug and success!
