I'm not too keen on finding new or similar artists that are not dated in the later decades. I'd like to hear something more fresh and would like to know that people do still in fact find joy out of making something outside of pop culter and the norm. I have recently found Ashlee Vivo, but she only has a single out. I'd like to hear more like it. As for Alex Ernst "Speakeasy" and "After Hours" are what I listen to if that helps.
I don't care if it's free jazz, swing, bepop, etc etc.
Just trying to get out of what I normally listen to and it's proving more difficult to find new artists of this kind.

For some reason, the Ashlee Vivo song reminds me of a song I stumbled upon a while ago. Its a very different take on a once very popular song, so I thought it was interesting!
As for a jazzy bop, I once found the Paddlebots and, although their music follows more closely to that of what you may consider "pop culture" I 'I'm Gone' which has a swing that is just PERFECT. And it's definitely a bop!
hmm, jazzy, funky, unconventional. but i do like them more for their older work.
this one is from 2014:
