Can you confirm if this is still occurring for you? We're not sure if we really understand how to replicate the situation you're reporting here.
You mention that you're on the free experience of Spotify, so ads should be played occasionally for you and not receiving them is surely odd. Could we ask you for some more details of what exactly happens on your end, or it would be great if you can send a short video recording of the issue. You can send a link to the video or attach it using the Insert Video option in the post editor. This would help us investigate things deeper and give you a better advise.
