Japanese songs with romanised titles not counted as duplicates

If i have a playlist with japanese songs (titles written in japanese) and you add the same songs but with romanised titles to that playlist, why aren't they counted as duplicates?

Hey there @1-85qw00_irgv,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community!

Keep in mind that if each release has different metadata/links/URIs, they won't be counted as the same content because it was uploaded differently by the distributor. In this case and although it's the same song, it's expected that you won't get a duplicate warning since it's not recognized as the exact same content.

Hope this sheds some light on the matter. If anything else comes up, the Community will be here.

Cheers!

It should be counted as a duplicate in my honest opinion. This is very confusing, because all the songs i have in my personal playlists have original japanese titles, and when i go to X artist page it shows me the songs but with romanised titles. If Spotify romanizes song titles on an artist page, it should also romanize the same songs in user playlists...
