On a previous Spotify account I had a band called Oblivion star, the album was called wolves of war, now I can't seem to find that ban anywhere on Spotify or anywhere else. Does anyone know what happened with this band where did they go?
Hi @417HopeFiend, thanks for writing!
I can't find this band either. Even on Google there's no match for the band/album.
Are you sure it wasn't a local file of yours?
They might have also changed their names for various reasons.
Hi @417HopeFiend,
Just popping in to confirm that the availability of music on Spotify is determined by the artists and their music label or distributors.
For instance, it might happen that certain albums or songs will be unavailable temporarily and come back again later.
In this case, like @Bittencourt suggested, it might also have happened that the label or distributor updated the band's metadata and their name on Spotify. If you'd like to know more about what type of metadata Spotify deals with and how such processes work, take a look at this Spotify for Artists answer.

Hey @417HopeFiend,
Just felt like jumping in to confirm that starting with a new account won't affect the availability of the music you'll be able to find on Spotify.
But you can always take a look at the support site article you'll find here if music you normally have on Spotify ends up missing. The article features some good info regarding how this might have happened and whether anything can be done on your end to recover the music.
Hope you'll find this useful. Let us know if there's anything else we can help with 🙂
