Missing Smart Shuffle Option on Spotify Premium

Hello everyone,

I'm reaching out here as a loyal Spotify Premium member, and I've encountered an issue with the Smart Shuffle option on all my devices. Despite being a Premium subscriber, I've noticed that the Smart Shuffle feature is missing from my devices -  Android phone, Android tablet, computer.

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? If so, have you found a solution? I'd also appreciate any insights or suggestions from the community. Additionally, if any Spotify representatives are present, I kindly request your guidance on this matter.

The smart shuffle button is still there it’s just integrated into the shuffle arrows. There are now three options. Instead of on and off to shuffle the whole playlist or play straight through, the smart shuffle is now a third option that’s active when the arrow are green and there is a star next to them.

I have a premium account and just turned off the Smart Shuffle for a playlist but now I can't turn it back on.  This is on my Mac and for a playlist that I created myself.  I only see two options - shuffle or no shuffle. There is no option for Smart Shuffle any longer.

Try some troubleshooting steps like logging out and back in or clean reinstalling the app to see if that makes a difference. If not, send us a few screenshots or a short video along with your exact Spotify version.

While this feature is only available for mobile, there is a workaround if you should want to add a few random but similar tracks to listen to on your desktop player. Launch the smart-shuffled playlist from your mobile device and continue listening to it on your desktop. Voila! Spotify, I hope that you don't decide to disable this loophole now that it's out in clear view 😐

Hi, my smart shuffle button is completely missing (Not greyed out just no button is present) from my Spotify app (using my mobile phone and mac). Is there anything I can do to have this feature return?

I'm a Spotify premium user. Has Smart Shuffle been discontinued? I really liked it. Please shed some light on the matter.

I just had this issue and wanted to share the cause and solution for me. I currently had a jam going, I was trying to turn smart shuffle on for a different playlist I intended to start. It would not allow the smart shuffle selection to even exist until I clicked end on the jam. Hope this helps someone
