New releases for you?

Solved!

New releases for you?

Hi Spotify team.

Recently I noticed that the "New releases for you" in discover section is gone..

It was really nice, and i enjoyed every time when new albums showed, now its gone.

Can you tell why did you removed it, and is there any chance to bring it back?
Thanks!

I am equally frustrated!! This worked very well and only got better with more use.

This is the second time they have removed a function that has kept me using Spotify for so long.

Spotify, please advise what updates are made with every upgraded version.

Hello. On my discover page the "New Releases for you" section is still here. So I'm not sure if they removed it or not?

You can check that under Help and About Spotify. There should be a number under the Spotify Logo.

I'm also on that version (1.0.32.96.g3c8a06e6). So that's strange? They might be updating as you said 😉

Yep, its strange, i don't think there is a good reason to remove it, so hope they just make some kind of updating : )

Hey there!

There just might be a little bug so try logging out and then back in. If that doesn't work try reinstalling Spotify. Let me know what happens so we can figure this out.

Rock on,

Matt

Thanks for the answer
Seems like log out/in doesnt work, ill try the other solution with reinstalling the app later and will let you know 🙂
Thumbs up

Great! If that doesn't work I promise we'll figure this out.

Hi Spotify Team,

Once I follow a playlist, say Top 40 for example, do these playlists get updated with new songs? If so, how often and how would I know? Does this vary between playlists?

Thanks,

You can check it when its updated from the playlist info, see tha attached screenshot

Hey there!

Yes, if you follow a playlist it will still get updated. As for how often, every playlist is updated whenever the creator of the playlist changes it. There's not a delay though, like as soon as they update it, it will automaticly update for you. Any other questions?

Cheers,

Matt

Cheers man, everythings fine now!

This is the answer. I had to scroll to the bottom of the list in the discover section to find this playlist again. I wish there was a way to pin the sections you like, but thanks for the answer OP!

I'm in the same boat.  My "new releases for you" section in the Discover section is now completely missing.  This is one of the top features that I use, especailly on Friday's when new music is being released.

I figure it should be it's own separate tab, listed under "Discover", but I'm totally gutted that it's missing altogether.  The fact that I don't even get notifications from artistis I follow is another failing of Spotify, imo.

If it could be retutrned, it would be greatly apprecaited.  My version/build number is 1.0.59.395.ge6ca9946

This is definitly not solved for me.  The "new releases for you " sections has been missing for what I figure is 2 weeks now.  This is my Spotify version/build: 1.0.59.395.ge6ca9946
