Other artists played before selected artist

Multiple people have told me that when they play my music, on the free version of the app, other artists start playing instead, so they gave up and went somewhere else.

I tested it and had to skip 5 songs before mine played. Is this the way it is, or is there something i can do about it? For background, I am a spotify verified artist with 5 songs in my catalog.

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community.

When a free user searches an artist, they can go to the artist page and shuffle play that artist's songs. However, if they search for a specific song, since they can't play on demand, a selection of songs/artists based on the song they searched for starts playing (in shuffle), so different artists may play before the actual song/artist they searched for.
