My Question or Issue
Recently, I've stumbled across a handful of "artists" with nonsense song titles and artist names, each with a single song of right around 2:00. Most of the found artists also have an extremely similar quality, as though the songs are AI generated from the same prompt with a different seed. Is Spotify aware of this issue? I know there was a huge FBI bust earlier this year with a guy stealing some millions in royalties. I wonder how much of an arms race this is between scammers and moderators...🤔

I'm having the same problem. My discover weekly is also a mess but I thought release radar was only for bands I've shown interest in before. Right now, it's all trash I've never heard before
Yeah I’ve just unsubscribed due to this, recommendations filled with really bad AI-generated trash. Either scammers are abusing Spotify to upload and profit for these works, or Spotify is creating them to dodge royalties. Either way, it’s not what I’m paying for.
This is a big problem, but it's not only individuals doing it, Spotify themselves are creating thousands of AI generated artists and placing them in our recommended playlists. It's an extension of when they promoted some unknown middle of the road Swedish in-house producer with millions of listens on Spotify but nothing outside on other streaming platforms and got caught out.
This is happening for months for me. Spotify always gives irrevelant suggestions, not even close to what I listen to with weird artists and songs. I will soon cancel my subscription and fully switch to Apple Music. Only thing that keeps me with Spotify is their Windows app, which is also getting bloated a lot lately.
Please stop allowing AI generated music! I want my money going to people who actually create, not a person who writes prompts. Leaving Spotify soon. Between AI music overload and the removal of "hide track" option from Discover Weekly on desktop is ruining the Spotify experience. My tolerance for this shenanigans is reaching an end.
