Hi,

Ive been listening to rod derrets 'rugby racing and beer" (https://open.spotify.com/album/0IpCEOHtTcMd2jbExGOloq?si=wG9sB9-ZTQ-mR8EAje4Neg) album reasonably often for the past 5 years and then all of a sudden its been made unavailable, Rod Derrett dies more than 10 years ago, so i dont think that he would have removed his music. the album has even been made unavailable on youtube. Is there any intention to get this music back up? it is classic kiwiana that needs to be preserved and i cannot get my hands on it else where.

This is most likely due to licensing. As much as we'd love to have all the music in the world on Spotify, the content may vary over time and between countries. This depends on permissions from rights holders, so it's not always up to Spotify to choose which versions of songs / albums should be available.
 

It's worth reaching out to the artist's label on social media or their site if you haven't already for more information on the matter.
