Tom Petty's Long After Dark album Removed??

Solved!

Tom Petty's Long After Dark album Removed??

After his passing, Long After Dark was almost entirely removed from Spotify - does anyone know why this happened? There were some great songs on there that are now unplayable for some reason. He was always very staunch with his song rights, I assume he had the rights to all of his music and was fine with it all being on Spotify/streaming services..?

Hey there @ChrisV_313,

There are plenty of reasons why a release may be removed from the Spotify Library. When someone passes away, there is the potential for the label to decide to make it available only in certain regions or to remove it. It's a shame that it has.

Here's what you can do to get Long After Dark added though:

Hope that helps! ^_^

It's very likely that after his passing the rights to his songs were transferred to somebody else. They might have had the songs pulled. If so I'd say that's very unfortunate, but that's the most likely situation I see.
