Hello community!
I have some questions...
Why the next songs are not available on Spotify?
Eclipse (All Yours) - by Metric
The Violet Hour - by Sea Wolf
Lydia - by Fur Patrol
These songs appear available for my friend, but not for me.
Also, there is an error with this song: https://play.spotify.com/track/3soK4aHAccEg2rmMBzlI36
The song: Cities In Dust - by The Everlove is this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Obg6dzw-dlg
Hope someone can help me please...
Regards!
Hey @Danae182
Do you both live in the same country, or different countries?
Record labels sometimes will make certain music only available in certain countries.
Regarding the Cities in Dust song, the YouTube video has the wrong artist listed. The original song is by Siouxsie. The song from the video game soundtrack is a cover and it was not released on Spotify. For music to be available on Spotify, the record label/artist has to send it to Spotify.

Somebody can help me please?
Hey @Danae182,
I have looked that up for you. These tracks are not available any countries yet. Does your friend have stored these tracks locally? If it does show up at your friends client but greyed out, then that also means that is is not available yet.
You can read more about missing music in the music FAQ.Take particular note of the fifth point (The music / artist I'm looking for isn't on Spotify. Now what?!).
Did I help? Please add a like!
Did I solve your issue? Please accept as the solution!
Hi Jordi! Now I understand, thanks! 🙂
As a last favor, could you report the error in this song? https://play.spotify.com/track/3soK4aHAccEg2rmMBzlI36
I was looking for more information about the song, and indeed, there is an error.
If you hear the song, you will realize that it is not "Cities In Dust "by "The EverLove".
The true song is a cover by British rock band Siouxsie and the Banshees, and was used in the trailers for the video game Transformers: Fall of Cybertron: and for the music of the trailer for the fourth season of the HBO series Game of Thrones.
This information appears on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cities_in_Dust
And in this official trailer of HBO, you can confirm it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5E0VsSrrrc8
Hello:
I did some searching for the Song Eclipse (All Yours), I keep coming across this version by Kevin Teasley is this the version of the song you are looking for? I am not able to find a version of that song named by Metric anywhere in a search on the Spotify service. Doing a google search seems to reveal that the version of that song by Metric, this was an iTunes acoustic session song, which those are exclusive to Apple music, just like Spotify session released songs by artists are exclusive to just the Spotify service. I did find this odd release with that track name on it which seems to be acoustic numbers, maybe this is it?
The Kevin Teasley version of that song can be found on the The Twilight Sage: Breaking Dawn Pt1: Original Movie Sound track here:
I also did a search for the track named The Violet Hour, seems this song has been cover many times, but no track name is coming up by the artist Sea Wolf in a search. The Civil Wars, Paul Hertzog, The Night Eternal, etc, just to give a few artist names or bands that have covered that song. Seems The Clientele did the song originally, that version is available, but the Sea Wolf cover song seems to be from the The Twilight Saga: New Moon movie sound track, which does not seem to be on the Spotify service currently, at least from my listening region when doing a search which is the U.S..
The original The Violet Hour:
Lydia - by Fur Patrol, doing a google search show this was an original song from their release called Pet, the artist at least searching from the U.S. listening region does not seem to be present on the Spotify service.
Hope this information helps some.

Well, no matter if these songs are not available .. but at least someone could fix the error?

Hello:
Any song issues or playback problems can be reported by following the information below:
If you've seen either
- a track, album, or artist in our catalogue with incorrect information (i.e. wrong release year, misspelling, etc.)
- different artists in the same Artist Page
- incorrect cover arts
- incorrect artists biography
or
- a track or album that isn't playing correctly (i.e. a song only playing one second of music)
Then you can report the error using the Contact Form. Once there, perform the following steps:
Step 1: Click on "I want to report a broken song or wrong song information".
Step 2: Click on the Green Button that reads "I STILL NEED HELP".
Step 3: Copy and Paste the track URI links to the songs into the field that reads "Song URI".
Step 4: Type up a description of the track issues in the "Tell us more" field.
Step 5: Click on the green button "SEND QUESTION".
Be sure to include all Spotify URI's in the body of the message!
After contacting Customer Support, you should receive an automated response from Spotify. The tracks will then be aggregated and reported to the content provider. Customer Support will update their database with the correct information as soon as the label or aggregator has sent them an update with the correct data.
Hey Danae,
unfortunately, i've bumped into the same issue as you a lot of times 😞
Sometimes record labels will only make their music available in certain countries, which is why we get the message that the song 'is currently unavailable'.
However, about the song you posted about, it's probably a cover (as most game soundtracks are) and for that reason it is not released on Spotify. Spotify only releases original songs that are sent to them by either the artist or record label.
Hope it helps
Hello again JayLB!
I had reported the error over half a year ago, but I never received any response from Spotify.
I thought you guys could do it, contacting directly with the developers of Spotify.
But well, I did it again, I hope not wait another half a year.
