Unfounded song on mine, found on my friend’s!

Hello - I can’t find Jacob Banks Magic (Live) on my own account, but I can on my friend’s account - why is this? Please help!

Do you both live in different countries? Is the same country set in your account settings?

The availability of music on Spotify is up to the artist and their music label.

Sometimes at the request of the artist, the music is only available in certain countries, while access is blocked to others

Hi - thanks for responding. We were both in the same house at the time, so, we have the same country settings on. Any other suggestions?

Upon further look, it looks like this song was on Spotify at one point, but it is currently not available in any country that Spotify is available in. It was removed by the record label.

Is it possible they have the local MP3 track imported into their Spotify app using this feature? If so that could be why it plays.

Ah - ok, that could be why then.  They also noted that when a different song was playing, it had the same playback issues on the CD they used to play it on - so all makes sense now!
