Wasn't aware that music licenses had limited life on Spotify

Wasn't aware that music licenses had limited life on Spotify

... thought it was more "not licensed yet" but apparently not so.

90s dance - BlackBox - had two songs of theirs in list from the Dreamland album - both are unavailable now in Canada - yet I added them a month or two ago. Another was Dance 2 Trance "Power of American Natives - Radio Cut" - cannot be played.

And while we are on the subject Yello's 80-85 The New Mix in One Go is a glaring missing album. Their other albums are there and the missing one has a similar label. Very odd. (Sadly you cannot 100% reproduce the album from other albums). Similar with BlackBox/Dance2Trance songs.

I hope we are not renting and listening only for a specific time then the licences drop off like movies on Netflix. If so then life with Spotify will be limited. As for my issues - if country specific maybe I will need a VPN to circumnavigate the globe - pretending I am in Sveden or something,

Somewhat concerning.

Hey @bellyman6969,

Spotify wants all the world’s music and podcasts on their service, but availability can vary over time and between countries for many types of reasons depending on the permissions from rights holders.

The good news is: Spotify adds new music and podcasts every day, so if you can’t find something you’re looking for right now, it may appear (or reappear) soon!
