Welcome To Night Vale doesnt play at all

Welcome To Night Vale doesnt play at all

for months now i have tried playing this podcast and it doesnt work, the time stays frozen and u cant hear anything, it just doesnt play, other podcasts work just not Welcome To Night Vale.

Could you let us know the following:

  • Your device's make, model and OS version.
  • The version of Spotify you're running.

Are you able to play the podcast on another device, or in the Web Player? A short video which shows what happens when you try playing the podcast would also be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for replying, I've tried playing the podcast on both my laptop and phone and it doesnt work on either.

 

Laptop specs-

ASUS Vivobook TM4201

OS - 22000.613

 

Phone specs-

Galaxy A12 SM-A127F/DS

OS - Android 11

 

Spotify for Windows
1.1.83.956.gbe7ea9a7

Thanks for the screen recording!

 

I tried playing that podcast on my end and was able to do it without issues. Could you ask a friend or a relative who uses Spotify to try playing the podcast on their account? If possible, try logging in to another account on one of your devices to see if the podcast is playable there.

Thanks for posting in this thread and welcome. 

 

In this case, we'd like to gather some additional info. Would you mind sending us more details about what's happening on your side? Is this happening when you try to play a specific podcast or does it happen no matter what podcast you choose to play? It'd be really helpful if you send us a full description of the behavior you've noticed.

 

On another note, would you mind sending us the make/model and OS of the device in which you notice this behavior along with the Spotify version you're running there? Is this happening no matter the device you use to play content? Are you using some Bluetooth device (such as headphones or a speaker) to play the content?

 

Lastly, did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event such as an OS update? If yes, please send us the details. Meanwhile, we suggest you log out and log in twice in a row onto your Spotify account. This could sound a little bit odd, but this way the system will force a resync of your account in general.
