What happened to Thee Oh Sees albums?!?

What happened to Thee Oh Sees albums?!?

I have been thoroughly enjoying Thee Oh Sees Floating Coffin album due to the highly enjoyable Toe Cutter song. I was about to play it this morning and to my great disappointment I see that the album is no longer available along with their other albums Drop and Mutilator Defeated At Last. What happened?? And Spotify please bring these albums back ASAP!!! Thee Oh Sees is currently my favorite band and this is no time to not be able to hear their latest 3 albums! Thank you.

Oh man, this was such a bummer to wake up to.

Yea...Where the feck is Mutilator Defeated?!

The reason is that the artist or their music label has likely decided to remove it from Spotify.

The availability of music on Spotify is up to the artist and their music label.

Spotify wants all the world's music, and they're working hard on making this happen for you. However sometimes agreements can't be reached with the artist or label or a change may happen in music ownership. Sometimes the music is only available in certain countries, while access is blocked to others. Sometimes the album or song will be unavailable temporary, and come back again later.

Spotify adds thousands of albums and artists are added every day. If you can't find an artist you're looking for, they may appear (or reappear if removed) soon. In the meantime, feel free to contact the artist or their label to ask when they plan to be on Spotify.

It certainly does suck. I hope Spotify's offering them enough. If another service can do better I'll switch.

Seriously, Spotify you guys need to keep acts like this on your catalog. I really don't want to switch to a different streaming service because I have so many playlists and time invested in your program but with the recent software "upgrade" debacle and now bands slowly disappearing you're not making it easy.

Does anyone know of a streaming service that has the entire Thee Oh Sees catalogue?

i use both spotify and zune wich is now xbox music they have all the oh sees stuff except the newest album

Yeah, this is ridiculous! Spotify get them back up ASAP!

Woah! I don't understand, I can listen their albums on Spotify! Probably the problem has been restored

The record companies acomplish just more piracy. Haven't they learn anything with internet era?

Me, for instance, had the Drop album saved and then it's gone.Guess what I did? Of course I've downloaded by other means.

agree this is super annoying

YES PLS!! bring they back!!

ditto, would like to have this on spotify also plz

I love them too, but as an artist myself, i can understand why the band might have opted out of Spotify...the reasons David Byrne, Metallica, Taylor Swift and others have.

Most of the albums by the band moe. are no longer available too.  I contacted the band's manager.

Hey guys, it's avaiable now 🙂
