Since your query is specifically for Spotify genres, then I think it would be useful to check out Every Noise At Once.
You can try searching for these artists using the search bar top right of the website and find out what are the assigned genres. 🙂

For example - Massive Attack appears in the genre clouds for electronic, downtempo, trip hop and big beat. (matches the user-assigned genre tags on last.fm pretty well).

Beach Fossils readily appears on Spotify curated playlists for brooklyn indie, popgaze, indie-rock, chillwave, nu gaze, indietronica, noise pop, neo-psychedelic, indie garage rock, and indie pop.

Zero 7 appears downtempo, trip hop, electronic, nu jazz, and acid jazz.

Massive Attack is hip hop, soul, and dub.

Not sure about all of them, but Beach Fossils could definitely be considered along the lines of Dream Pop, Jangle Pop, or Shoegaze, so I'd look into those for similar material.
