Why are Swedish titles misspelled?

Why are Swedish titles misspelled?

While creating a playlist with my favorite Swedish language songs throughout the years, I've noticed that titles with the words "de/dem" (they/them) and "dig/mig" (you/me) are all misspelled or "modernized/simplified" with "dom" and "dej/mej". Now the latter spellings have been more and more commonly used the past 10-20 years (although should be noted that they are not formally accepted spellings and have not taken over the actual spellings). I think you should aim to spell the titles accurately according to how they are actually spelled on the releases. Fine if the titles were spelled the "new" way, but if they weren't then why are you purposely misspelling it? I mean it's even written on album/singles covers yet you spell it differently. Please respect the original spellings and the language thank you.
