Wrong related artists for small band

Hi!

We are Warg, a metal band that doesnt have a lot of followers and all our related artists in Spotify are black metal nordic band, which is wrong. I think it might be an error because last-fm and other platforms had information about another band that existed a few years ago also called Warg that was black nordic metal.

Is there any way to change that or make spotyify update their information? For a small band like us it´s a problem to have a mix up like that and our radio doesn´t fit at all with our style or our listeners.

you should contact your distributor or spotify itself because maybe when you submitted the song, the metadata was wrong

Thanks for the hint,

I don t know if the metadata was wrong,  but we use developers.spotify.com and discover that our artist information doesnt have genres data. We will contact our distributor to see if this can be fixed and may affect related artists.

I will keep you updated, in case we solve it and it can help others in the future.

Unfortunately our distributor told us that they don´t know how related artist are linked on other platfotms and that our information it´s ok so we can´t do anything more with them. Then,  we are stuck with this problem unless we get some more info from spotify
