spotify blend doesn't work as advertised

My Question or Issue

The idea itself is incredible, but the implementation is so-so. The problem is updating the playlist itself. It doesn't update at all, although it is supposed to update daily. Please do not write that you have to be active, listen to music and like it not from the mixes for you. I'm an active user, I have ~100,000 minutes of spotify in a year and I often like new music. You can take other music that I've already liked and update the blend playlist. Please solve the problem.

Same here, I've had a blend with a friend for 5 days, didn't update, not even once. The description says "Updates daily"

The way that the Blend playlist updates not only depends on your own listening activity, it also depends on the other person's activity. 

You could try to leave your current Blend playlist and create a new one with your friend again and check if that makes a difference. Also, please keep in mind that if both of you haven't added new songs to Your Library recently, this could also explain why the playlist stays the same.

Lastly, it's worthwhile to mention that you can dislike songs from the playlist, which will also help its future composition and get it to be updated more in tune with your preferences.

Thank you for your reply. I have another question based on your answer. How much activity do 2 people have to have for the playlist to be updated every day and for it to update all the songs? Or is it not possible?

Thanks for the question.

New song entries are automatically generated by the system based on listening activity. There is no minimum amount of songs that needs to be reached, the playlist gets updated once the algorithm has gathered enough data.

The minimum amount of listening activity, let's say for a brand new account, is the same it takes to generate a Made For You playlist like Discover Weekly etc. It's hard to pinpoint an exact amount, but a wild guess would be somewhere of 2 weeks actively using the app.
