History is not updating

History is not updating

For a while now whenever I close Spotify I lose what I played during the day in my history.  When I reopen it, the last track played will be like something from 2 weeks prior or so.  Then every once in a while it actually does update the history.  There is no rhyme or reason on when my last played track is actually shown in history.

Havn't seen any reports regarding this after the most recent update. Have you tried reinstalling the client? 


Note: After deleting the client, make sure there are no files left in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Spotify before installing it again!

I update my client everytime it says there is an update..

Actually spoke too soon..

 

Came in work today and opened up Spotify and now I have no history.  It is like something is blocking it from recording what I am listening to.

You dont have the problem at home?

Spotify closes when undocking laptop

 

It is the exact same issues I have been having.  Everytime I undock my laptop Spotify closes and with it my history.

Just to confirm, are you still experiencing this issue? If so, can you give another reinstall a go following the steps here? Make sure to restart the device after deleting it and before installing.

 

Does it help? If not, please confirm the following:

- Device 

- Device operating system/version

- Spotify version

- Does it also happen at home?

Resuscitating an old post here, but I have this problem and attempted the suggested procedure, but the problem persists. Very confusing.
