It seems that there are no packages being returned from repository.spotify.com

if you do :

nano /var/lib/apt/lists/repository.spotify.com_dists_stable_non-free_binary-i386_Packages

You'll see it's empty.

Not to mention if you do:

apt-cache search spotify

You aren't returned anything

There's something wrong with the repository, it's not returning anything:

http://repository.spotify.com/dists/stable/non-free/binary-i386/Packages

This URL returns 0 packages, an empty file basically. Can we open a support ticket for this?
