I know this has question has appeared several times before, however not one of the 'solutions' has been satisfactory.
I have repeatedly connected my iPhone to the same wifi connection as my laptop, restarted Spotify on each, ensured I am logging in with the same details etc. yet there is still no response on my desktop Spotify when I try to connect to device!
This is a very basic error on Spotify's part, made all the worse by the huge amount of patronising (or unnecessarily technical) responses to what should be a simple issue.
Having just upgraded to Premium, this is not the service I expected to get for a tenner a month.
