Restart the computer
Login
ctrl+shift+esc (it start task manager)
Details tab
Check whether the process spotify.exe is visible in the list.
If there is,solution is below
1. msconfig, boot tab
2. Select Safe boot and choose minimal
3. Restart
4. Login in safemode
5. Change file name spotify.exe to spotify2.exe (C:\Users\******* USERNAME ******\AppData\Roaming\Spotify\spotify.exe)
6. msconfig, boot tab, turn off SafeBoot
7. Restart
8.Login
9. Change file name spotify2.exe to spotify.exe
10. run spotify :)
Its working for me, but after few mins of playing music, spotify hang again :(
I will try with compatibility mode
ps. English is not my strongest side, so please forgive my mistakes

There is a very simple way to fix it without uninstalling it,
1. Go into Appdata.
2. From Appdata go into local ( NOT LocalLow)
3. Locate Spotify folder.
4. Delete it.
5. When you open Spotify, it will create a folder in its place and your problem will be solved.
No Restart or uninstallation required.
The file is in use, i can't delete it :(
On linux you need to remove this folder:
$HOME/.cache/spotify
i have done this multiple times because it seems to last for like 2 days before happening i want a permanent fix for this not a temporary.
(MS Windows 7 Home Premium Edition)
Strange @Dontfreez - do you have any anti-virus or other security software running on your computer which might be damaging or moving Spotify's files?

i followed your instructions but there were no spotify webhelp things on there, nor was the actual spotify application.
any tips and help you could give me?
