2017 Linux desktop Spotify Connect stopped seeing Denon AVR s720W

For months I've been enjoying the Spotify Connect interface between my Ubuntu desktop and my Denon receiver. Suddenly it is no longer visible in Spotify Connect. Additionall, my phone when connected to the same network also can no longer see the Denon listed in devices available.

The Denon is hardwire connected to the router as is the PC. The phone connects using wifi. The receiver connects no prob to internet radio, so the connection between the receiver and the router/internet is working.

All the help topics date back to 2014. Anything new?

Seriously Spotify,

2 months later and still nothing.

My premium subscription is basically futile without this functionality to connect to my sound system. Something that HAD BEEN WORKING!

I guess it is bye-bye premium.
