My Question or Issue

When I'm in a playlist (including auto-generated ones) and am trying to add a song to another playlist, clicking on the "..." menu on the right and clicking opening the "Add to playlist" sub menu, the menu opens but starts jumping wildly left and right. This is related to the size of the now playing sidebar on the right - if I make that smaller, the issue doesn't happen. It also doesn't happen if I right-click on the track elsewhere instead of the "..." menu. Perhaps this also is related to my playlist names etc. so that specific conditions are met. I can close the menu with Esc, but once the application became unresponsive. I have attached a video clip of the issue.

This issue is reproducible every time, though workarounds exist.

Same here on Win11

Spotify for Windows (64 bit)
1.2.40.599.g606b7f29

Seems to happen at a very particular point on the page.

I have this same issue on Ubuntu, it is very annoying.

For the Linux users: can you also mentioned if you are running on Wayland or X11? If in Wayland, are you running it natively or X11 emulation?

I have double-checked from my system info that I am running KDE on X11. I have Plasma version 5.24.7, KDE Frameworks Version 5.92.0.

If I check the system-about window, it says Wayland. But when I run xlsclients, Spotify is listed there, so that suggests it is using an X11 emulation, I think. I hope that is a useful answer to your question.

Seems like you are running with X11 emulation. Please try to run it natively in Wayland by passing the following switches:

spotify --enable-features=UseOzonePlatform --ozone-platform=wayland

I tried replying twice to this topic, saying that with that command Spotify started with a blue title bar, so it clearly did something. But it did not fix the problem.
