Bug in search function

Dear all,

I think I've found a bug. When I type two specific letters in the search box Spotify crashes and quickly restarts. I first noticed the bug when trying to search for 'Cymande'. I can search for all kinds of letter combinations, and this is the first one I noticed to cause this crash. The terminal output is

10:45:59.513 D [gaia_manager.cpp:1164 ] GAIA: TIMING(7113086) GaiaManager::sendHelloHelper
10:46:02.514 D [gaia_manager.cpp:1180 ] GAIA: GaiaManager::hermesDeviceCheck
This is Spotify 1.0.27.71.g0a26e3b2 on Arch Linux, 64 bit.

For clarity: the crash only occurs when typing first the letter 'c' in the empty searchbox, and then follow with the letter 'y' directly after.

Does anyone know what these messages say?

Thanks in advance.

Those messages are unrelated to your search query and probably to the crash as well. Gaia is an internal name for the feature called Spotify connect, which enables you to control other spotify devices.

I can't reproduce your problem with typing c and y, but if I try to paste different strings with ctrl+v I can sometimes make it crash. That paste bug and the one you see might be related. The paste bug is reported in our internal bug tracker.
