My Question or Issue

I installed Spotify on my Linux computer via Terminal and when I'll try to log into Spotify, It says that I need to update Spotify. Please can someone help me?

Hey @user-removed 

There was a recent change with Facebook login and Spotify, which lifted the bar on how old versions Facebook login is supported on. Version 1.1.46 is supported, anything lower is not.

You can use two methods:
1. Use snap to install Spotify. You'll get version 1.1.46.
2. Create yourself a Spotify password, so you can also log in with your email and password: see this article for more info.

deb (one you'd install with apt) is unfortunately not updated yet. I'm not sure why - I thought they would update simultaneously with snap.
