Cannot choose an folder for offline song storage

When attempting to change the default folder path for offline music storage, it tries to use the X11 folder explorer showing the text as empty squares, making it practically impossible to select the music folder for offline song storage, even though the operating system is set to use the dolphin file explorer by default. How can I get around this? An screenshot of the issue has been attached as well.

No fix available as of yet. Problem seems to occur with arch linux based distros and ubuntu so far.
