Cant login to Spotify account on my Volumio devices

My Question or Issue

Using Volumio Spotify plugin for some years already and recently not possible to login into my Spotify premium account on all 4 of my RPi Volumio devices. 

Anybody with the same issue?

Yes, I have exact the same issue for 2 days.

Both Volumio (3.742) and Spotify plugin (4.02) are the latest version.

I could install plugin but the settings page where one would login to Spotify account is blank.

I updates Spotify plugin to 4.10. Still the same issue.

After one day of struggle, I found a solution.

The good news is that a clean installation of Volumio has fixed the issue 🙂

The bad news is that I have to make 5 Volumio installations and re-configure each one of them 😞

Now I am at the second installation/configuration....

It turned out that the problem wais on the Spotify side.
According to the librespot discussion in Github, Spotify made a bad API update and broke all players not only Volumio. Spotify reverted back to the old API which fixed the issue a few days ago. Something to remember in future if/when the similar problem arises.

Nowadays I can login to Spotify through Volumio Spotify plugin again.
