Discover weekly not updated evenly in all apps

I drove my way to work today with Spotify mobile app, and the playlist Discover weekly was already updated on Android (4.5.0.809 BETA).

However the Linux Desktop version (1:1.0.16.104.g3b776c9e still was showing the old one.

After turning it off and on again second time it worked.

Is there some kind of caching ? What makes it refresh.

Beside, yesterday I found that, by adding playlist through Web API, in the Linux Desktop it presents new playlist called "Loading..." , only after I turned off and on the program it was shown properly.

If it will help, I use SOCKS5 proxy at Linux Desktop app, so it might be relevant for refreshing issue.
