Failed loading skin

Failed loading skin

When I try to start spotify native linux client I get the error "Failed loading skin".

I am using Kubuntu 14:10 with KDE 4.

Changing the QT theme away from oxygen fixes the issue, however the reason no one switches the theme is because oxygen is the only one that looks half good, so this is not a solution.

reinstalling clearing caches ect doesn't help

any help as to finding a real solution (IE pointing out the bug in oxygen or something) would be much apreciated.

Hi there and welcome to the community,

Could you try doing a full reinstallation of the app, including removing your local cache/data files.

Note that the Linux client is still in beta.

as i stated in the first post that did not resolve the issue

In Ubuntu, I've had to unzip resources.zip file in /opt/spotify/spotify-client/Data into /opt/spotify/spotify-client directory. That zip file contains the missing msgid.pob that contains the current skin of Spotify.

For some reason, the current installer does not perform this action by itself (bug in the installer?).
