First impressions: a possible bug and several suggestions for improvement

My Issue and Suggestions

First of all, thanks to the developers who have made it possible to enjoy the Spotify service via the Linux desktop client app, which is generally working very well. I also liked very much that we can easily change the system tray icon (for example, replacing the default one with a monochrome icon for consistency) by changing a couple of files ("spotify-linux-....png") in "/usr/share/spotify/icons" directory.

A possible bug
The only thing that's not working for me in the "Settings / Startup and window behavior" is the option "Open Spotify automatically after you log in to the computer". It's easy to add it to the autostart list, but unfortunately, I couldn't make its window close to system stray upon start, using a shell script via wmctrl or xdotool.

A couple of suggestions
I think adding one more feature to the "Settings / Startup and window behavior" to "Resume playing music at startup" would be great.

Secondly, I'd also like to suggest moving the "Settings" from under the "Profile/Account" menu to the sidebar on the left (perhaps with a cog below the Home icon).

Good suggestions! You should post it in the Idea Submissions forum and it may be considered for future versions of the app.

Just be sure to check out if the idea is already there. If it's not, submit it after reading the idea submission guidelines. 🙂

I've just added two ideas to the long wishlist there. 🙂
This leaves only the bug about "Open Spotify automatically after you log in to the computer: Yes / No / Minimized" not working.
I'd love to have Spotify start minimized/closed to system tray.
I hope the developers can see this bug report here...
