Floating point exception (core dumped)

Every once in a while, linux desktop spotify client freezes then crashes with "Floating point exception (core dumped)"

Attached is the log from the last quarter of an hour

Thanks for the report and the log. Based on this line in the log, I think the client is trying to play an ad in mp3 format.

The Linux client currently has problems playing ads in mp3 format and unfortunately crashes. We have seen this before and have disabled mp3 ads for the linux client until it can be fixed. Not sure why it has resurfaced again. I will try to get them disabled again.

 

For sake of details, I'm running version 1.0.28.89.gf959d4ce

Thanks for the response! Found this post because I have an identical issue. I'm happy to see it is being worked on and hopefully it will be resolved soon.
