Hi, just installed Linux Mint 17.3 and can not understand how to download Spotify on it?
Pls help!
Thx!
Hey @Essla,
Welcome to Spotify Community!
For 32-bit Linux mint
wget http://repository.spotify.com/pool/non-free/s/spotify-client/spotify-client_1.0.25.127.g58007b4c-6_i386.deb
sudo dpkg -i spotify-client_1.0.25.127.g58007b4c-6_i386.deb
For 64-bit Linux mint
wget http://repository.spotify.com/pool/non-free/s/spotify-client/spotify-client_1.0.25.127.g58007b4c-22_amd64.deb
sudo dpkg -i spotify-client_1.0.25.127.g58007b4c-22_amd64.deb
Let me know if you run into problems 🙂
It was simple on windows, press a download button and then it started to download. I don't get what i actually have to do to download spotify on Linux. Where do I enter these links you posted? A step by step guide would be extremely useful.
Enter these into terminal. Linux is very different from windows. You can't just press a button anymore.
I'm having trouble adding the repository. It says 404 not found.
You're getting a 404 because the link is out of date. Go to http://repository.spotify.com/pool/non-free/s/spotify-client/ to find the most recent version.
Best,
Austin
