Interference/distortion in playback when browser is open

My Question or Issue

When I open my browser (firefox) I get distortion/crackling interference of some sort when the music is playing. It stops shortly after either pausing the music or closing my browser. Generally, if I wait a short while (10-15 minutes) I can play music without any distortion with my browser still open. Any ideas what might cause this?

I don't have any immediate ideas as to what might cause this.

Were I encountering what you describe, I would look at the audio mixer panel when it is happening to see if the browser or any other applications appears as a sound source. I would also look at resource utilization to see if the browser activity is monopolizing the CPU.
