My Question or Issue

When trying to install based on the support instructions, the sources.list file gets created correctly, however, when I do the apt-get install command, I get the following:

Err:1 https://repository.spotify.com stable InRelease
Something wicked happened resolving 'repository.spotify.com:https' (-5 - No address associated with hostname)

When I go to look up the address with nslookup, I get:

nslookup repository.spotify.com
Server: 10.27.31.1
Address: 10.27.31.1#53

Non-authoritative answer:
repository.spotify.com canonical name = d2czmavkeme1ql.cloudfront.net.
Name: d2czmavkeme1ql.cloudfront.net
Address: 99.84.170.112
Name: d2czmavkeme1ql.cloudfront.net
Address: 99.84.170.193
Name: d2czmavkeme1ql.cloudfront.net
Address: 99.84.170.41
Name: d2czmavkeme1ql.cloudfront.net
Address: 99.84.170.98

Any thoughts on the issue?

The key signing command did complete succesfully:

Executing: /tmp/apt-key-gpghome.K26K5XhOGH/gpg.1.sh --keyserver hkp://keyserver.ubuntu.com:80 --recv-keys 931FF8E79F0876134EDDBDCCA87FF9DF48BF1C90
gpg: key A87FF9DF48BF1C90: public key "Spotify Public Repository Signing Key <tux@spotify.com>" imported
gpg: Total number processed: 1
gpg: imported: 1

Any assistance appreciated.

Michael

Unfortunately the current spotify debian repository still needs to be accessed with http. The instructions on https://www.spotify.com/download/linux/ says

# 2. Add the Spotify repository
echo deb http://repository.spotify.com stable non-free | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/spotify.list
