[Linux] Bug report: Spotify refuses to play when laptop charger is plugged out or in.

Brief description of the issue:

When I plug out/in my laptop charger spotify will automatically stop the music. When I click play again it shows to me that it's playing but there's no music coming out of my speakers. (Sound of other applications will work)

 

Steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Open Spotify
  2. Play music
  3. Plug laptop charger out or in (music stops)
  4. Try to play music (no music coming out of speakers)

Steps to get Spotify to play music again:

  1. Restart Spotify (works most of the time)

What steps you’ve tried already:

  • I searched the Community.
  • I followed Basic Troubleshooting.

Hello @mashy,


Can you please run Spotify from terminal and let me know the output when the issue occurrs?

 

Also strace would be userful as well : 

 

strace spotify > $HOME/spotify-dump 2>&1

Check your home folder for spotify-dump file and attach it here.
